N.B: We don't pay to get to the top of Google searches so this may not be the first showbands/beat-groups site that you come across. We do however, believe that it is the biggest and most informative archive of photos and information on pop and beat music in Ireland from 1957 to 1972. Other sites cover more years but we stop at the early '70s because that was when 'the music died' and Country 'n' Irish raised its ugly head, never to be defeated since. We include some country bands pre-1972 but none of those who contributed to the tsunami of a hybrid genre that has swept over Ireland between 1972 and today. |
