When he left The Freshmen, Billy Brown signed with Hit Records.   Ireland's first showband single was on the HMV label. Many more hits were to follow for the Royal Showband.
 
Brendan Bowyer's second single was on the HMV red label.   The Dixies launched their own label in 1969 and signed acts mainly based in the south of the country.
 
The graphic designer must have been out sick when this Homespun label was designed.   Oh! They found some colour!
