Spollen:
Originally called (The) Olympyx, the group first consisted of Terry
Carroll (vocals), Val
Wallace (rhythm
guitar), Frank Gibson (bass),
Dermot Woodful (lead
guitar) and Don Spollen (drums). They later changed the name to The Intruders
(looking back and stepping out), the group played successfully on
the club scene around Dublin and throughout Ireland. Dermot left to
join SugarShack and Ben Cheevers took over on lead guitar. Benny
went on to form the original Skid Row with
Brush Shiels. |
